Siding & Roofing

Exterior systems built to shed water, ice, and wind — not just cover what is already failing.

The Envelope That Keeps the House Dry

Siding and roofing are not cosmetic extras in this climate. Ice dams, wind-driven rain, and summer storms find every weak flashing, loose shingle, and open butt joint. Casper Contracting LLC repairs and replaces siding and roofing for Northeast Indiana homeowners who want the exterior to protect the structure — and still look like a house someone takes care of.

We start with the leak path, not the color chip. That means checking drip edge, step flashing at walls, chimney and vent boots, soffit ventilation, and whether the existing wrap is still doing anything. A new skin over wet sheathing is a short-term cover-up. We would rather show you the problem and price the right repair.

If a storm tore shingles or lifted a run of vinyl, we can assess damage, document what we find, and get the house closed in. When the project also needs windows, paint, or yard cleanup, you do not have to assemble a separate roster — we already do that work.

Siding and Roofing Services

  • Siding replacement and repair

Damaged runs replaced, full elevations re-sided, and trim details that keep water out of the corners and window openings.

  • Roof inspection and repair

Missing shingles, lifted tabs, failed boots, and localized leaks repaired before they become a ceiling stain and a bigger tear-off.

  • Roof replacement

Tear-off or overlay decisions based on the deck and the existing layers — then a clean install with flashing that is actually integrated.

  • Storm damage response

After high wind or hail, we can board up or tarp when needed, photograph the damage, and schedule a lasting repair — not a weekend patch that fails in the next front.

  • Fascia, soffit, and trim

The edges that make siding and roofing look finished and that keep pests and weather out of the attic and wall cavity.

  • Exterior coordination

Siding that meets new windows, a roof that ties into a porch, or paint after the wrap is closed — planned as one exterior job.

Protect First, Then Finish

  1. Inspect and explain

We get on the roof or elevation, show you what is failing, and write an estimate that separates must-fix from nice-to-have.

  2. Keep the house closed in

Work is staged so you are not sleeping under an open deck. Materials land when we can install them, not a week early in a storm.

  3. Clean the site

Nails, shingle scraps, and vinyl offcuts get magnet-swept and hauled. Landscaping and driveways should not pay for the roof.

Common Questions

Do you repair a few damaged shingles or only replace whole roofs?

We repair when the surrounding roof still has life and the leak is local. If the deck is soft, you are on the last layer, or storm damage is widespread, we will recommend a replacement and explain why.

Can you replace siding around existing windows?

Yes. J-channel, flashing, and trim at windows and doors are where leaks start. If those units are due for replacement, it is often smarter to do windows and siding in one sequence.

What should I do after a storm before you arrive?

Keep people off a damaged roof. Catch interior drips with buckets and move furniture. If we need to tarp or board an opening, say so when you call so we can prioritize weather protection.
